Hi Mike,
Just wanted to let you know that I just got the HK 610 that I was telling
you about. I have not had a chance to gig with it yet. But, after beating on
it here at my house for a few days, I can tell you that this is by far the
loudest, harp tone friendly amp before feedback that I have ever blown thru.
Holy shit, I can easily peal wallpaper off the wall and crack windows with
this sucker if I really wanted to. And thats on a 3 1/2 -4 volume setting
with my sm57. I have yet to master the afb and ub controls...But, Holy
friggin crap, this is the nastiest and loudest beast. It also sounds great
at low volume. The more you bear down the more it bites. Playing against
loud bandmates will never be easier. And, I'll never have to mic it if I
choose not to. Keep in mind, I'm used to gigging with some really great amps
too. Vintage 59 tweed bassman, vintage 62 concert, and a really nice
sounding hg50. So needless to say, I highly reccomend this tall boy. Save
your money and by nothing less. Even if you have to pay 2500-3000. If I do
sell it, I'll let you know first, but it may not be for awhile if at all, as
they are hard to come by and I think I'm in love.
Time will tell,
Dave Robbins
